Charitable gifts to HelpMeSee not only help dramatically change the lives of countless children and adults by giving them sight from blindness, but when properly planned these gifts may also provide tax savings, income and other financial benefits for the donor and the donor’s family.
The following is a list of the various Planned Gifts allowing the donor to structure his or her philanthropic goals, to make the greatest impact assisting HelpMeSee to cure the blind, while allowing the Donor to accomplish his or her financial goals tailored to their personal economic circumstances.
Regardless of the amount of your personal wealth, every person is capable of making a Planned Gift to HelpMeSee
“HelpMeSee is a US-based, international nonprofit making great strides every year toward our goal of eliminating cataract-caused vision loss and blindness. More than 100 million people suffer from cataracts, 90 percent of them living in the developing countries in Asia, Africa and South America where we work — countries where there may be just one ophthalmologist per million residents or none.
At present, HelpMeSee is well on our way to introducing the leading edge, virtual-reality surgery simulator-based training that will greatly increase the number of skilled cataract specialists, while simultaneously reducing the risks of surgery, and provide access to sight-saving cataract surgeries at most affordable cost.”
In just the past six years, working with over 300 surgical partners and community health professionals, HelpMeSee has developed standards for surgical practice readiness, patient safety, and quality outcome, resulting in sight-restoring surgeries to benefit more than 250,000 people who had otherwise no hope.
We chose to partner with HelpMeSee for our annuity because of their great mission and work in curing the blind. We were delighted with the smooth process as the HelpMeSee team came to our home and provided us with all of the easy to understand paperwork. All we had to do is sign the contract and now we receive a stream of income for the rest of our lives, while leaving a gift to HelpMeSee.Robert and Masako Trickey
We decided to leave one-third of our estate to a health care related services organization, and we have decided to support HelpMeSee. We like the idea of a quick , low-cost surgery that will restore the sight of children and adults, living in poverty around the world. This surgery not only gives them their sight back, but it also gives them their lives back. We feel like our bequest will have a lasting impact and accomplish our legacy of helping others in need.Bruce and Debbie Lane
